| Ground anchors have been successfully
installed and stressed at a depth of approximately 9.0m
below high water level from within a limpet dam designed
and fabricated especially for the purpose .
To give the operatives sufficient room for efficient
drilling these dams are of a special ‘pregnant’
shape.
This facility allows low level ground anchors to be
installed on quays to:
Stabilise existing sheet pile quay toes.
Allow dredge depth to be increased.
Allow increased quay loading.
For new quays, ‘below water level’
anchors can reduce the sheet pile section size required.
Strengthening temporary coffer dams.
Accelerated Low Water Corrosion and ship damage
strengthening repairs.
