John Martin has supplied on a design and build basis
a number of Ro-Ro bridges, container terminals, ferry
terminals, berths and break waters in addition to general
cargo handling facilities to many UK ports.
These have been specific solutions to accommodate local
conditions and client preferences in accordance with
current standards. Retrofitted enhancements to existing
facilities have also been made to meet current trading
conditions and developments.
Specialising in repair and
strengthening of existing sheet piled walls; NJM has
carried out varied remedial works in the following circumstances:
Corrosion
Control
Corrosion damage is generally from ALWC, a rapid attack
drastically reducing original design life.
Ship
Damage
Ship damage repair projects bring a unique requirement
owing to the distorted state of the structure.
Upgrading
Upgrading quays can often need the installation of low
level ground anchors to reduce potential deflections
as bed materials are removed to deepen the berth.
NJM has carried out projects throughout UK from Scotland
and the Islands to the Southwest, and even overseas
where our particular expertise is called for. For more
information on Port and Harbour schemes see our project
datasheets. |
