Padstowe RNLI
RNLI

Lifeboat stations offer combined challenges because of the requirements for high quality, durability and operational readiness as well as being sited on some of the United Kingdom's most formidable coastline.

This combination often calls for exceptional planning and use of innovative solutions.

The construction of a new Lifeboat station would typically consist of

  • Bored steel tubular piles
  • Installation of pile caps and cross heads
  • Steelwork reinforcements
  • Steelworks for concrete pour
  • Steel / Glulam framework
  • Internal / main columns
  • Floor beams

Construction will also probably be aided by a jack up barge.
