The Sea defences of UK are under constant battering, and recently subject to the need for upgrading to cope with projected sea level rise. Over many years NJM has worked on sea defence walls, replacing and upgrading them. Notably importing large rock armouring material from Scandinavia.

NJM reputation for successfully delivering flood alleviation programmes is unsurpassed in the industry. We have a proven track record in under taking prevention and coastal defence programmes for the Environment Agency and many other local authorities throughout the UK.

Most projects are challenging and require many innovative and sensitive solutions. The complexity of the projects are diverse and range from a 9.5 km flood aviation channel down to a small scale river wall refurbishment.
